Wireless headphones Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a) received ChatGPT, a “smart” noise reduction system and a price starting at $99
23.04.24
Nothing has released new wireless headphones. Last week, only two models were released – Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (a), but the names were not obvious.
The Nothing Ear was an update to the Nothing Ear (2), while the Nothing Ear (a) was the successor to the Nothing Ear Stick.
The announced new items retain the design that was shown in 2021.
The devices have improved sound transmission thanks to an improved driver system. Both models have the same active noise canceling power and are capable of suppressing up to 45 dB of noise, which is twice as much as the Ear 2. Both pairs are also IP54 dust and water resistant.
Nothing Ear Features

The Nothing flagship Ear headphones have an optimized sound profile and added new personalization options. At the same time, battery life has been extended by 25%. There’s also a new Bass Enhance setting that adds a boost to low frequencies.
The more affordable version of the Nothing Ear (a) is offered in yellow for the first time for the manufacturer.

The more expensive Nothing Ear version additionally offers wireless charging and better case protection (IP55). Nothing for both models has improved voice call performance and AI voice isolation. The smart active noise canceling system adapts to environmental noise and checks for leaks between your ears and ear canal.

A special feature of the new products is integration with ChatGPT. If the user has the ChatGPT app installed on a connected Nothing phone, they will be able to ask questions to the generative AI chatbot by pressing the stem of the headphones.
Prices
The new Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear(a) headphones are available for pre-order now, priced at $149 and $99, respectively. Actual sales will begin on April 22.
