Xiaomi presented its main flagship of 2022 – 12S Ultra. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 chip.
In total, three versions of the smartphone are available with memory capacities: 8 + 256, 12 + 256 and 12 + 512 GB. Their prices are respectively $900, $970 and $1050.
The new product runs on Android 12 with MIUI 13 firmware.

Xiaomi 12S Ultra is equipped with an E5 screen with a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and QHD+ resolution. The diagonal is 6.73″. The display has a built-in fingerprint scanner. There is a cutout at the top with a 32MP selfie camera.


The resolution of the main camera is 50.3 + 48 + 48 megapixels. The main module received a Sony IMX989 sensor of 1” optical format and Leica Camera optics. You can shoot video in 8K UHD at 24 FPS and in 4K UHD at 60 FPS. The manufacturer claims support for Dolby Vision HDR. The 48 megapixel modules are borrowed from the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

In addition, the smartphone received two speakers for stereo sound, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and IP68 water protection.
The battery capacity of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra smartphone is 4860 mAh, wired charging power is 67 W, wireless charging is 50 W, and reverse wireless charging is 10 W. To optimize battery performance, two custom processors, Surge G1 and Surge P1, are used.
