The huge Corsair Obsidian 1000D case can accommodate two motherboards at once
10.05.18
Corsair has prepared its new, rather unusual, computer case, the Corsair Obsidian 1000D. This is the largest and most advanced building of the company.
The model is designed for real enthusiasts. The design combines brushed aluminum details with smoked glass panels.
The highlight of the Obsidian 1000D is the ability to install two motherboards at once. The first board is up to E-ATX size, and the second is Mini-ITX.
The cooling system has 13 fans with RGB lighting. There is room for two power supplies, a standard ATX and a more compact SFX.
The body is designed for the construction of the most daring and cool systems.
The main motherboard is mounted quite conventionally vertically, and the second (Mini-ITX) is placed horizontally above the ATX power supply.
The implication is that the optional Mini-ITX board-based system could be used as a file server, capture system, or even a second-player gaming PC.
The case is perfectly prepared for the use of water cooling systems (WCO). There are places for installing four 480 mm SVO radiators.
Of course, proprietary solutions are provided to control the fan speed and their lighting.
The front panel has two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, four regular USB 3.0 ports, and headphone and microphone jacks.
In the USA the cost of the case will be $400, and in most European countries – €500.
