Pentagon blocked access to Starlink in Ukraine for russians

The US Department of Defense announced successful opposition to Russia’s military use of this system. Despite the fact that access control is now considered successful, the situation remains difficult due to Russia’s ongoing efforts to find ways to restore communication.
The Pentagon said the move was made possible through cooperation with SpaceX, Elon Musk’s company that provides Starlink services.
In February of last year, Ukraine reported on Russia’s use of Starlink. After that, the Ukrainian side tried to propose an alternative blocking algorithm, but Russian forces managed to continue using the system for several months through third-party black market websites.
The Ukrainian military has been using Starlink since the Russian invasion in 2022. Also, more than 42,000 Starlink dishes are used by Ukrainian hospitals, aid groups and enterprises.
