Adobe has added generative AI to Acrobat to improve the ease of working with documents
28.02.24
Adobe has integrated generative artificial intelligence into the program for working with PDF Acrobat. AI Assistant is designed to “completely change the experience of working with digital documents.”
According to the company’s representatives, the AI Assistant will allow users to “easily interact” with documents to quickly find the information they need. It can summarize the contents of files, answer questions and provide recommendations based on the content. The company claims that user data will not be transferred to the cloud or used to train an artificial intelligence model.
AI Assistant is now available in beta to paid Acrobat Standard ($12.99 per month), Pro ($19.99 per month) and Teams subscribers. It works with all document formats supported by the application, including Word and PowerPoint.
In the future, Adobe plans to integrate Firefly’s artificial intelligence model into the assistant and add the ability to work with multiple documents and sources simultaneously, as well as drafting and editing functions.
Once out of beta, access to AI Assistant will be available as part of a separate paid plan.
